how to apply materials on different objects

hey guys i have problems applying different materials on different objects, whenever i apply a material on one object, the rest of my objects takes it.

BBB....do u already try using different layer's on that objects??..coz from the problem that i can see,it was u used a single layers for many objects...so when u apply materials for one object, it effect the others...

thanks for the info... do you know any site where i can download materials (granite, wood and etc)? i tried arroway but they dont have that much...
