    Default PLotting scaled layout in paper space ---Help

    Hello I am new to (autocad light 2004), and trying to create new scaled layouts of drawings that I have received. First of all when I open the layouts that come with the drawing it tells me that it doesn't support my plotter so I set up my own layout . I try and establish a viewport and my drawing dissaprears , nothing but a white If I zoom in it is buried deep in the viewport. After scaling up the viewport to 1:10000 or 1/128: I see my drawiing , then the plot scale has to be changed and after that I guessing what I am doing . These drawings are architectur floor plans,in metric
