Import Excel files to Autocad 2000

I need to upload an excel sheet which contains many coprdinates, to autocad 2000, and then complete the drawing .
How do I import the content of excel file to autocad 2000?

Hey - I do my schedules (door and frame) in excel....and they get large, but I would really like a way to get them to show up in my AutoCAD drawings. The cut and paste seems to really have some limits....anyone have a better idea - OR - a third party application that will do the trick???

The best way I found is to export the data from Excel in "Formatted text (space delimited)" format by using the Save As ... command. If you change to TXT the extension of that file you can import it in AutoCAD using the MTEXT editor.
Unfortunately there is no link between the Excel spread sheet and the mtext; changing the data you will need to re-import it...
Also it's possible to draw geometry (Polylines, 3dfaces, ...) based on co-ordinates stored on spreadsheets, but this subject was cowered before in this Forum.

If you don't mind paying, there's a great program called Spanner. Check it out at http://www.wfcadtools.com. I use it and works great.

but you had mentioned that exporting text files as co-ordinates and make the drawings have covered before in the forum.
sorry I was unable to find that part.
