Default Boundary polyline -> Valid Hach Boundary Not Found

Registered forum members do not see this ad.

    Hello! It's me again!

I have a polyline (visualy close) that are a irregular polygon.
I have too four 2D polyline (that I create based on SPLines using a lisp code get here) that cross form one side to other of polygon at different points, none of then crossing each other, forming five irregular polygons.

I try to use bo -> boundary (object Type: polyline) to create closed polylines for each of these five polygons. But when I try to pick a internal point to the center polygon and the next upper , I receive the message "Valid Hach Boundary Not Found".

At start, I believed that was because the polyline of the initial irregular polygon was set to open, but close dosn't change the error.

There no other objects or layers and because three of the polygons created by the 2D polylines can be turned into closed polylines by Boundary, I don't know what am I doing wrong.

    Someone can help me?

    Thanks

    Default A question...

I note that when I use only LINES, the boundary works perfectly, but, when i use ARCS too, often happens the error I mentioned...

Is this some type the bug or the Boundary too lis limited?

    Thanks!

In my (limited) experience, the boundary command is notoriously unstable, and often goes off to analyse infinity, great if you like doing little work...

The only advice I can give you is

    1) Check the vertices on the polyline(s) you're trying to use the boundary command on for "dirty points", vertices where the line crosses/doubles back on itself, etc

    2) Try copying the polylines you're using with a known basepoint off the main part of the drawing into some empty space and try the command again/give the lines a really good look over.

    Hello

I tried all... But only when I do these with polyline direct (not converted from spline) is that function...

    Thanks anyway
