Default Why can't I convert this to one single pline?

I am trying to convert this into one pline by using the pedit, multiple, then join command. But it won't let me. Anyideas? I saved it in 2004 format

Also, the top right hand area with jogs included as gemnt on top of a segment within the polyline. Explode it and you'll find the extra segment.

Where that area meets the arc is where endpoints do not meet which mdbdesign refers to.

Uh oh I'm replying to myself ...

I just realized that a faster way to create a closed polyline is to use the BOUNDARY command rather than trying to find the problem area.

They are a lot more different than similar. They are similar in that you can use either with the EXTRUDE command but otherwise they are quite different. A region is a planar surface that can be used in some solids editing commands like UNION. A lwpolyline is also on a single plane, but is a linear object. Regions are more used as a step in 3d solids modelling. Lwpolylines are used for lots of 2d purposes.

I've always made my 3d objects by drawing it in 2d then pediting it to single polylines then extruding or revolving it. I taught myself 3d so that was the first thing I found that worked. Because of how much I'm forced to use pedit I made myself a handy little pedit>multiple button. I also made a 3d view flyout which is really helpful.

What do you do if 07 reconizes it as a single continous polyline for a complex object but when extruding it turns them into planes and a unified volume?

I've never had that problem. It makes it like what it does when you explode a 3d object?
