What were you doing when that happened? (not that it always makes a difference)

Thanks for the help. Followed the instructions for a clean install. Removed all Acad programmes and then did a complete re-install. So-far I am not getting the error message. I would love to know what caused it. If its now working with a clean install what would have caused the error I suppose I will never know LOL. Thanks again. Keeping everthing crossed LOL

Found the help files very useful. I am concerned about intalling the Service Patch 1 for 2007 LT could this cause any problems.

Yes, service pack installs COULD have the potential to create problems, but the whole point of a service pack it to correct existing problems, so it should be alright. I have installed it on mine, and no problems over here.

WELL I am getting totally pi--sed off I have done a complete removal of all Autodesk products rebooted removed from registry Autodesk references so machine is clean, checked othat no running programmes reinstalled 2007LT and then Service Pack 1 Start programme after about 5min move curser to File and same fatal error occures. The only programme that seems to work OK is 2004LT so I have had to reinstall 2004LT to get a working programme. I have now tried everthing other than rebuilding my PC. I wonder if anybody out there has any more suggestions.

Sounds like it's time to call autodesk, or your reseller.

This is the point where I am drowing in anger. I purchased 2007Lt in the UK about 7 months ago as an upgrade to 2006 LT I did not take out a subscription so retailer is not interested. Autodesk just tell me to contact the retailer as they do not give support ??????
