    Default Import and trace a tiff file into a cad dwg.

    Registered forum members do not see this ad.

    How do you import a tiff file and use it to trace out a drawing ? I use AutoCad Lt .

    I never used AutoCAD ... LT, but I think you have no image support. You should upgrade to a full version, or try to find a 3rd party software.

    LT has very limited image capabilities BUT....there is a free add-on for LT that gives it the image capabilities of full AutoCAD. It is called SlingShot and you can find it here..

    Check it out, totaly free. I have it loaded on LT2002 and it works just fine.
    This will allow you to insert a .tif file and you can then manually trace over it.

    I down loaded the progam and what a difference ! Thank you very much .
