I've got an intermitent problem with copyclip, pasteclip and Wblocks. The functions work in some files but not other it seems to be dependent on the size of the file, i have 7 xref's in the dwg. i can copyclip to the dwg, but not form dwg. is it due to the size of dwg or what? can it be fixed?

OR is there a system variable to set?

Anyone have a solution for this?

The post you responded to aquidea is from 2008.

It's possible that abdul got a drawing from the outside that was created using AutoCAD 2007 which had a notorious problem with the copy/clip command.

chris: Feb. 2007 - Jan. 2012.

If the problem happened only once in four years count yourself lucky. Some users had the problem happen once in every 40 minutes.

I believe there were two other similar posts that same year. Maybe someone thought you had found the answer on your own and never bothered to report back that you did. Then again, if it really had been that big of a problem you would have returned looking for more input.

Don't be such a stranger.

It still comes up from time to time. Anything created in 2007 without the hotfix applied will still cause problems. DWG TrueView can fix it usually.
