If your cylinder is showing up as a bunch of zig-zags whenever you are doing a hide plot, change your "dispsilh" variable to number 1. To plot your objects hidden, right-click your viewport, and for "hide plot" pick yes.

Hello all the cad expert, i'm new n i need help..
i'm using autocad 2002.
i draw some cylinder and boxes and the cylinder sitting behid the boxes, so when i'm up to plotting sure part of the cylinder will be hided frm the boxes rite, and i able to hide them, but the cylinder i couldn't make it shop as a pipe ( i would like the cylinder look black like a pipe line) but it show lot of lines and i don't know how to get rid of it! I tried to use facetres to set it to max but it still got those lines. please help!
I can't do rendering coz' i need to show the dimension so it only leave me either shade it or hide it. I'm wonder is there a common or something tat able me to fill the cylinder or hide the lines.

When i dispsilh, the ziz-zag line dissapear which is great..... but then now i would like to fill the cylinder with color how do i do that?
Unless you have ACAD 2k4, you are not going to be able to shade a 3D model in your viewport and have it print shaded. One workaround would be to use the "solprof" command to make a 2D entity, then use a solid fill hatch. If it has to be shaded, you can "saveimg", and bring in the image and scale it correctly.

thanks alot, i'm trying it later. if i got any problem or i find another way to solve it i will post it out! Thx again!
Use the RENDER command to fill in the colour. As said before 2004 has shading in viewports, Inventor is even better.Originally Posted by winson123

I think when you use print screen the finished result is dependant uopn the program you paste it into.
