Is it possible to have the name of the VPORT displayed in the VPORT itself?...(i.e. TOP, FRONT, SW ISOMETRIC, etc.)

This would help me remember how im viewing my object. Thx.

While you can have a Named Viewport I don't believe you can actually display a name in the viewport itself automatically. If you had spent any time "on the board" you would know that the standard convention in orthographic projection is TOP, FRONT, SIDE (usually the right) and ISO (southeast). If you always adhere to that system then there would be no reason to actually name the views.

If you do something different, like have an ISO viewed from the northwest, then perhaps you should just place some text inside the viewport as a reminder. The text could be placed on the Defpoints layer or another layer that isn't plotted.

At my old job we used to commonly title or tag viewports with their elevation... ie: Plan view, front, side, etc... we just put a line of text on top of the viewport in paperspace...
...the above was my two cents...

You can display the name of a viewport. Here are the steps to do so:
    1. insert Mtext.
    2. before typing any thing, right click in the mtext box and select "insert field"
    3. Change the field category to object
    4. in the object type column, use the selection button. That window will go away and you can then click on the viewport that you wish to display the name of.
    5. when the field window pops back up you will see some properties listed. Select "object name" and then OK.
You will now have your viewport name displayed.
