    Default layer just wont delete

    Registered forum members do not see this ad.

    When in the layer properties mgr I attempt to delete an empty layer but I keep getting a the message.... "the following layers cannot be deleted....."


    There has got to be a simple answer to this. There are no objects associated with the layer...

    use the PURGE command, purge all layers...usually this works.

    check your blocks & xrefs, referenced layers can not be deleted. Try also express tools>>layers>>delete layers.

    also somat as silly as is it your current layer?
    and as the guys said, purge and see if it removes out, and check what layers ur xref's are on
