    Default Autocad background?

    what background (and line color) should I use? (in terms of stress to my eyes?) Thanks.

    I prefer Black....but DODGE reckons light grey is great.....just understand that some colours (particularly yellow) are very hard to see with a white background........

    After 25 years of staring at CRT's, black screen gives me the least eye-strain over the long haul; royal blue background would be second choice.

    Yep
    Blue is nice but as Alan says some colours can be hard to see thats why I went for light grey also it's easy on the mince pies.

    the white background looks good to begin with, but if you spend long periods of time at your computer, it does create more eye strain than the black background. if you don't like black, try the light grey that DODGE recommends....I'm going to give that one a try myself.
