Import Txt From External File (excel)

How do I save an EXCEL file as a .RTF so I can import it to ACAD? I have the .txt files to choose from but when I drag and drop the .txt file I loose the format of EXCEL. From what I read in the 2006 ACAD User Guide p 743 I should be able to do this and retain "page set-up" from EXCEL.

If you want to retain the Excel format but you want to just copy/paste it in AutoCAD (in other words, you DON'T want this to be an OLE) then just highlight all the cells you want in Excel and Copy. go to AutoCAD, go to Edit > Paste Special... > AutoCAD Entities and that will do the trick. Hope this is what you're after.

The metod is working but it pastes only about 40 excel rows, not the entire documents.Why ?
