first off, i wouldn't download the program from anywhere else besides the from the sketchup website itself (your message comes across spam, like those messages, "hey i found this site (site link) and they offer $500 gift cards for shoppping, has anyone tried this??"

you can download the program right from the website (http://sketchup.google.com/download.html), and when you download the program there is built in tutorials, not to mention the website (sketchup's) has an online forum and a lot of tutorials

    website:
    http://www.sketchup.com/

    training availability:

Hi Martha, welcome to the forum. SketchUp is great, isn't it? Google only bought SketchUp they didn't develop it. There are a bunch of videos on the SketchUp website that will show you how to use SketchUp. I believe that you can also access these under the Help menu in SketchUp. If you have a specific question please ask us. We have several members here that are pretty good at SketchUp (myself, Boofredly and even CADTutor himself). Good luck and have fun
Please do not PM me with CAD questions. Post your question on the forum. Our users are the best out there and you'll get the best possible answer to your question.

here's a house i did with sketchup and the assistance of AutoCAD:

SU is a power tool and can be quiet beneficial once you learn the ropes, it's very easy and the interface is designed pretty well, so navigation is fairly simple. it just takes some time to learn

Thank you CADken and f700es for your advices. I was just looking to save my time. An advice from a friend makes more than hours of browsing.
I was more than happy to find a free 3D software and I can say that I am quite enthusiastic about sketchup.
