Default Xref / Poly Line Appearance Error

Registered forum members do not see this ad.

When I open the xref all of the poly lines appear the correct thickness both visually and via lineweight. In about 40% of the drawings the xref is imported the poly lines appear increadibly thick. Could there be some setting/s that are drawing specific causing this to happen? Note it is usually happening in older drawings that were created before my time and on a much earlier version of CAD.

    Operating System: Win XP Pro
    Software: AutoCAD 2006 (Educational Version)
