Default dwg files are set read only and hidden - by autocad??

Hello, our firm recently upgraded to autocad2008. We are experiencing a very annoying problem: many dwgfiles we open or save on a network drive are set read-only and hidden. The only way to recover them is to reset the attributes in a cmd window by ´attrib -r -h -s´
Jpg, doc etc files we open or save on that network drive dont have the problem.

The problem started shortly after we upgraded to autocad 2008. We are trying to find out what is casuing this: a network problem? a 'feature'of acad2008? a virus?

    Any suggestions??

    Greetings, Max

Make sure the is not an additional file in the folders with a dwl extension. These are lock files and occasionally they get left behind. Make sure your admin allows certain characters in file names. The $ is a common save file character but at times I know admin can have these be hidden files. Just a guess.
