Thanks for your sugestion, howerever this is not an item that is outsourced. We manufacture the products and i am looking for a way to speed up the time creating presentation drawings

sorry I can't see your example - being cadless at the mo, but does it have any panels and if so, will these be variable in size too?

Here is the door. it is a retangle with offset retanges to create the panel look. as it is now i bring in the door block and then strech the width and height to make the door the correct size the current size of the block is 12" wide x 18" tall
thanks
WC
so I'm assuming you want the mouldings to stay the same sizes
not sure how to describe this....
does the timber you manufacture the framework to the panels vary in width at all or do you just get your size adjustments from a larger panel and longer framing?

With a little more information a LISP program can be written
Is the width and height the only variable distances? Are there standard width and heights that you use?
Is the inner panel the same distance from the outside edges?
Are the vertical styles always 2.25”?
If you could post a drawing with the fixed and variable distances, I can write a LISP program for you. It’s just a matter of locating all the corner points.
See the attached example.

Most of the time the framing does remain constant. and the panel grows or shrinks as you described. i am hoping to get that part first and then work on the ocassions when the framing varies
thanks
WC
so does the framing only come in maybe two sizes then - rather than varying infinately?

I have updated the dwg with more info. If you are able to include framing variables would be super teriffic however if only width and height are possible i am very grateful and cannot thank you enough for your help.
I am hoping to be able to learn how to write some of these kind of routines for myself in the future, but i am current at the very beginning of the learning curve.
i am thankful for your willingness to help others and hope someday in the future i will have the knowledge to "pass it along" and help someone else learn as well
Again i say thank you
