    Default What speed processor to run autocad

    Registered forum members do not see this ad.

    I know nothing about autocad, but a little about computers. My niece who wants to give up hand drawing and go to autocad asked be how much computer she needed.
    Can someone tell me what speed processor, amount of RAM ( I
    assume at least 1 gig) and any other requirements. Hard drive requirements, etc.

    Depends a lot on whether she is going to do mostly 2d or 3d. Here is a site that will give you an idea.

    Yes.....slowly being added to...but been a bit quiet the last week.....I guess everyone has been doing other things.....I know I've been a bit stumped on the one I'm trying to get out......But I may take this one on in the interim while my brain gets around the other one......

    That will be the old FAQ section......the new one is totally different...the difference should amaze and please everyone.....but won't be up and running for a few months, because everything has to be re-written........
