Here is a basic 3D dome strut design I made.

A geodesic dome is nothing more than a big soccer ball; hexagons and pentagons. The degree to which subdivide these basic shapes will determine the complexity of the dome. Compare the dome you have pictured with the Epcot center dome in Disney World.

    is this for planning permission?

are you purchasing it or building from scratch?

if you're purchasing it, ask the company if they can supply suitable drawings

Have you drawn 3D before? You can do it in 2D, but it's much easier to see and understand the process in 3D. Step by step instructions would be too lengthy to do thru this forum. If you want to contact me via private message and exchange email addresses I would be happy to help.
