I have a web host. How do I make a forum (nothing CAD related)? Each member should have a personal username/password and the administrator must have full rights: blocking members, delete posts and so on. Like in this forum.
I have limited programing skils in JavaScript but no clue when it comes to PHP and MySQL. Google returned duzzins of results. Where to start?

If you are a good drafter, tech will help. If you are a bad drafter, nothing will help. - Jack_O'neill at CADTutor
It depends how big you think the community might get. A very good starting place would be phpBB, the free software that this forum began with. Version 2 looks really good with lots of features. For something more modest, you might look at minibb, a basic but powerful board and free.
You don't really need to know much about php/MySQL to use such software - just follow the install instructions and you should be good to go. If you need help, let me know.

I will second the PHPBB & MySQL referals. Even I could set them up in under a day. -David
