Default Forcing osnaps for point selection?

Is there a way to pick points exclusively by osnaps, as opposed to being able to pick by osnap or any point not near a snapping point? For example if I was copying an object multiple times with center osnap on, and clicked in an area with no center, I would want it to be treated as if I didn't click, similar to what happens when you do a specific temporary snap.

Good question. I don't know if there's a way to "fix" that or not.

Well, I wouldn't use this theoretical method all the time, just some specific instances when it would come in handy.

You could try writing a lisp that when picking points automatically inputs "_endpt of" for instance, but i think this method would only work for specific tasks
