Default Making AutoCAD drawings look like hand drawn drawings

    Hi there,

I am a young up & coming budding Architect in thge process of completing my final year @ university and I was wondering if theres a program or add-on to AutoCAD where it turns AutoCAD or any other CAD drawing into a freehand sketch looking drawing. I have just finished using Squiggle which was able to do this, but I was wondering if there was any other program out there

Hello Ron and welcome Sure there are ways to do this. There are lisp programs that ca work inside AutoCAD to do this or you can print to a .jpg and do it in say PhotoShop or other graphic aplication.
AutoCAD Architectural Desktop has one built in called "Napkin". Here is an example...

There is also a freehand lisp for normal AutoCAD. Search the forums for it, I have posted it before.

You can also use a Photoshop type application to get a similar style.
Here is a bookcase I did in another application and then played with it in The GIMP!...

Thanks for the cracking advice, but i do have a number of question on this matter are you still able to select which layers are to be freehand sketched like what it does in Squiggle as wish the titleblock to be normal and the acutal building to be sketched, and can you be any more specific as to where i could find the Lisp routine as I am having no luck in obtaining it

Now for the "napkin" one you have to have Arch. Desktop.
Let me know if you need anything else.
