    when using the annotative features:
for text styles, you set up the text style to have a paper space height, and a tick in the Annotative box. no other setup or calculations are required.

for dimensions styles, these should be setup for use as if you would use them in paper space (ie, dimscale = 1), AND a tick in the Annotative box. no other setup or calculations are required.

then you need to setup your SCALELISTEDIT.

once you have gotten that far, see the link I posted above.

SCALELISTEDIT - i think this is what is causing the problem. if i amend this list is it only specific to that drawing or can i apply it to all the drawings at once?

you can amend that list in your template, and it should then apply to all your drawings

i have attached a bit of the thing i am trying to work on.

as i said to get a scale of 1:10 in my VP i enter 100 in the vp scale box but in my text properties box its saying the paper space and model space height is wrong!!

    1:10 text height should be 0.025 so that X 100 = 2.5!!!!!

    thansk again

one other variable you need to be aware of is CANNOSCALE.
this sets the current scale for annotations.
this should usually match the scale of the viewport you want the annotations to be visible in.

I have updated your drawing accordingly, and setup your dimension & text style to be annotative.
