plotting raster image problem

Recommended Posts

I inserted a raster image reference (JPG) into a drawing in AutoCAD 2008, but I cannot find a way to make the raster image plot when the drawing plots. Is there something simple that I am missing?

D'OH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Cancel that info request.

If I insert the image as a raster image reference, it will not show up in the plot; but if I insert the image using INSEROBJ, then it will be on the plot.

I guess I'm having a mid-week Monday.

Carry on....

Hi,

raster images SHOULD plot even if you use IMAGEATTACH. The only reasons I know (usual ones) that prohibit plotting are either that they are inserted on nonplotting layers or if the imageframe is on and hide-plot is selected.

I have found that if I insert image in paper space the image prints. However if I place image in model space then create a view port in paper space it does not print. Any ideas as to why this is the case? In this particular case I'm actually using PDF overlays, but have had similar results with raster.

Thanks.
