How to draw from areas? Perhaps you could supply us with an example. What are you actually drawing, a piece of property? Are we talking distances and bearings?

The area in sqaure metres of a floor plan. I have a different size for each room and have to draw each individually. For example there is a storage room at 240sqm. I can draw rooms from scratch but have no idea to draw them around an area. Thanks.

If they are all rooms in one building then you should draw it as your model at 1:1 as they are as a building... then you can view them in paperspace viewports individually.

uhm....you don't have any other measurements than the areas? There are many different shapes that can be the same area...

I would go about this geometrical: Assume that all rooms are rectangular, first decide how long one side is going to be - divide the square meters with that length to get the other side - and so on...

Are you talking about having a fixed area (sq.ft.) and want to draw a rectangle around that area? If so you need at least one side dimension. Then use maths to work out the other side dimension.

Drawing a room layout based solely upon its area. Well at least you'll have plenty of options for sizes. How many ways could one draw a room that had an area of 240 square meters?
