What version were the drawings you are copying from created in?

Guys I need your help... I am trying to copy and paste drawings from one file into another. I've been doing it all day and it works fine, until 20 mins ago when I receivd the following error message:
"Specify insertion point: ** Undefined block #-1"
Does anybody know a way around this?
Also some of the drawings that I am copying and pasting over onto another drawing contain shape files...does anybody know how to get rid of them or convert them into something else which is more manageable?

I am copying from autoCAD 2004 to AutoCAD 2007, this any help?
Try installing SP1 for autocad 2007 if you haven't yet

Tried that but it still doesnt work! Think i need to reboot AutoCAD...thanks anyway.




You can purge shape files if there are no references to said files.
If you cannot purge a shape file, it's because something is referencing it. Probably a linetype, but maybe insertions of a shape.

YES! That worked, i took the original file from my client and etransmited to my colleague and the shape file was gone...brilliant!
