Default Template issue - FAQ help!

Hiya people - FAQ crew needs help again - what a surprise right?

This is what we got right now:

    Templates won’t open [beta]

Templates created using 2007 version of AutoCad can only be saved as a 2007 .dwt file. They cannot be saved as a 2004 version .dwt file.

To create a 2004 version template file in 2007, the file needs to be saved as a 2004 drawing. Then close the drawing and manually change the file extension from .dwg to .dwt.
now, what I was thinking was, is there any chance of making this FAQ more non-version-specific? More importantly - does this solution work for all versions?

    uhm...kinda like this:

    Templates won’t open [beta]

Templates created using a specific version of AutoCad (for example 2007) can only be saved as that versions .dwt file (i.e 2007 dwt.file) . They cannot be saved as a lower version .dwt file, which means the template can't be opened in a lower version of AutoCad.

To create a lower version template file in a higher version AutoCad, the file needs to be saved as a lower version .dwg-file first. Then close the drawing and manually change the file extension from .dwg to .dwt.
    am I right? *crosses fingers*

ok, so this is how it turned out - looking good?

    Template won't open [beta]

Templates (.dwt files) can only be saved as the version in which they were created. It is not possible to save them to a lower version, as can be done with .dwg files.

To create a lower version template file from a higher version of AutoCad, the file needs to first be saved as a
.dwg in the appropriate version. Then close the drawing and manually change the file extension from .dwg to .dwt.
Bluey - we need a stamp of approval from you if you don't mind? (http://www.cadtutor.net/faq/questions/35/)
