Default 3D orbit no longer available

I just downloaded a trial versions of AutoCAD 2008, and I don't know where 3D orbit went? In 2006 it was under the view menu, but not in 2008. Is it gone, or is it just hiding somewhere else?

Right click to find it, also I think it is set for Shift + intelliwheel.

Try View>Orbit>Constrained Orbit or Free Orbit or Continuous Orbit.

Also _Orbit and right-Click for a shortcut menu.

None of those options are available to me, unfortunately, but thanks anyway. In any case, I tried typing in "3dorbit" and it worked.

Must be just the trial version then, you should have an Orbit toolbar, just right-click any toolbar and select the orbit toolbar and dock it somewhere.

Shift + Pan (mid button/wheel) = 3D orbit (kind of).
But I miss the opportunity to do it with just the mouse, for example with right+left button as in Alibre or just one button if the view already is non planar as in Rhino.

why the hell do they keep doing that....it is so f*****in annoying that they change menus and commands after each release.....i'm seriously thinking of goin over to their offices and punching someone! very least...kicking them in the nuts and running away!

Please...if its not broken....dont try and fix it!....turbocad is becoming more appealing by the minute!

No it aint.....just you dare try civil3d 2008......menus are all over the place there! I ended up resorting back to my old 2005 installation...not user friendly at all.

Dont get me wrong, I love Autocad...I make my living from using it.....i just get so frustrated when they change things with no real thought about the user......
These subscription upgrades to me anyway seem to be manipulation of toolpalettes, they are a farce. I mean......all they do is take a command that was already in previous versions of autocad, and incorporate it into a toolpallete...hey presto...version 2008 and its only 2007!

Just what is going on, enough is enough!

    Yes, it's annoying.

If you type 3DO and then hit F1, you get some help:

    3DORBIT
    ...
    Toolbar: 3D Navigate

    Menu: View Orbit Constrained Orbit

At the Command prompt, enter 3dorbit.

Pointing device: Press SHIFT and click the mouse wheel to temporarily enter 3D Orbit mode.

Shortcut menu: Start any 3D navigation command, right-click in the drawing area, and click Other Navigations Modes » Constrained Orbit (1).

    Command entry: 3dorbit

Dashboard: 3D Navigate panel, Constrained Orbit flyout
