    Smile Fillet Circles

Hi, I'm a bit of a noob when it comes to CAD and I'm trying to fillet circles together. The fillet command doesn't work for me. The radius for the main circle is 105 and the others are 25. Thanks

Not exactly sure what you are trying to fillet, what is your fillet radius set to?

    Hey, Matho,

How 'bout whackin up a bit of an image of what you are trying to achieve as the end result. I don't think FILLET is the command you're after. So if I can see what you're trying to achieve, I can better understand how to help you.

    Cheers, mate.

Oh, and welcome to the forum, mate.

    Hi,

you'll have to move one of the smaller circles infitesimally nearer the bigger one so that they just overlap (must be 2 definate intersections). Then while zooming very close, trim the smaller using the larger one as trimming edge. Use osnap qua when drawing the smaller circle and also when trimming in order to catch it where it counts! After trimming ie. cutting open the small circle, you can fillet it with the bigger one. Not knowing your radius I guessed and here's what I got:

I suspect this is somewhere near where this is going....

Wow, you people replied back real quick! thanks. I'm trying to model a gate valve refer pic. It doesn't have to look exactly like that and not to spec. Thanks once again

If it doesn't have to be to spec, then probably the easiest way is to do what mahahaavaaha suggested. If it has to be to spec, then the explanation will get quite detailed.
