Is it possuble to create automatic materials cutting lists in AutoCAd and, if so, where can I find more information on the subject.
The application is in the steel fabrication industry so the lists would compose of number off, material description,cut length and notes to the saw operator.

You can purchase add-on 3rd party software to do it, try a Google Search. Do you know how to make block attributes?

Thanks for the reply. I have looked into the function in AutoCAd and, as you said, it looks like a third party add-on is required. I played with block attributes but it isn't suitable for my requirements. I suppose AutoCAD can differentiate between a tiolet and a hand basin using the function but it can't tell the difference between a piece of 150 x 75 channel at 3 metres long and the same at 2 metres long.
