    Question Optimizing polylines(Reducing vertices)

Registered forum members do not see this ad.

Hi. I have exported drwaings from corel draw into Autocad. Resulting polylines contain too many vetices which are redundant and decrease performance for use in other programs. How can I reduce the number of vertices so that the shape is still maintained. Keep in mind that the polylines are numerous and I need some quick way to do so, perhaps some add on utility.

    Thanks.

A term for this is "weeding" a polyline. A routine was posted on this thread-

The above routine appears to be designed for older, "heavyweight" polylines.

For weeding lwpolylines, see routine at http://www.autocadeverything.com/hel...ead.php?t=1706
