finding someone with 2005 that can/will save it as a 2002 file for me?

I even tried importing it with microstation. No dice.

That reminds me, I need to make my weekly call to the powers that be to upgrade our Autocad version...

Nope, all you can do is ask whoever sent it to you...or post it somewhere where one of us can fix it. :-)

Try to tell your "powers that be" that at least one the machines in the office should be upgraded to 2005 for this very purpose.

It is not rude to ask the client, engineer, or whoever sent you this cad file(s) to have them to "saaveas autocad 2000" and send you the copys of the "downconverted" file(s).

I have the same problem with people on 2005 etc sending me plans.... a quick phone call to point out that I am a bit behind with the software and I need it saved down to 2000 and the problem is solved.

Generally people like to tell me how great their software is and that I should get an upgrade...... show-offs

    Cheers
