    Default Hour Glass won't stop

Registered forum members do not see this ad.

    I'm using '06 LT.

When I choose the layers drop down list the hour glass is on and I can choose different layers and freeze layers but strange things happen.

Some things on my default layer (0) changed color .

This dosen't happen when I first open the file but later but I don't know what I did that makes it happen.

Does anyone have any ideas why this is happening?

    Thanks

I've seen this behavior since R2000 and I have no idea what causes it. It never posed much of a problem so I didn't research it. You might search the autodesk knowledge base for info.

    Hello!

check LAYERSTATE -command (LAS) and delete all unnecessary (spelling?) ones.

    Petri,

All are necessary. Only 52 layers. Is that too many?

    Thanks,

    dell,
Petri is referring to Layer States, not Layers.
Does this happen in all drawings or just this one?
If it's just this one then maybe you should post the drawing so we can have a look?

Also, try doing an AUDIT on the drawing to see if there are any errors .

I saw this behavior persist for several releases. Even though the cursor would look like hourglass it still worked like it should - didn't see any strange behavior besides the incorrect cursor.
