osnap problem

hello, i have a strange problem with my osnap.
if i use it in a 3d view (iso or not) it snap ok but when i wha to use it in a 2d view. (top,left ect. ) it goes snap at 0,0 coordinate.
ie. i have a set of truss at 3 m of the ground. i have to snap the trust to a beam, if i'm in a top view BAM it goes snap a the bottom of the beam.
is there a option i need to check or i should always snap in 3d view?

I think UCSFOLLOW to 1 or type PLAN after you've changed your viewpoint?

thanks GE13579 but it doesnt seem to work. but these are interessting command .
thing is i think i still work with 3ds max workflow in mind so maybe thats the bug. in 3ds max you have 3 type of snap. 2d - 2.5D - 3D .

• 2D = like the name say it work only in 2d for a plan or an elevation. bug is it wont snap if the object and snap point arent on the same axe

• 3D = like Osnap .perfect for any 3d view with the problem i talking about for Acad. if you go on a plan view or elevation it goes same toany point closer to 0

• 2.5D = What i try to achieve in ACAD. it can snap to a point in 3d but the object stay in 2d. Like my truss example. If you have truss 3m in air and you are in top view, even if you snap the bottom of your beam the beam will stay in its position in z axis but will go snap the beam in X & Y
