Default Extrude along a 3D curve

I have created a 3D curve (spline) by intersecting two solids.
I also have a 2D shape that I want to extrude along the curve.
In Autocad2004 3D splines can not be used as an extrusion path (I think).
    Can anyone help?

    Thanks in Advance.

    Default 3D-Poly

Change the SPLINE into a 3D-Polyline using PEDIT3D from

This relates to a "timeslip" problem that is now resolved. This topic has now been reordered to run consecutively.
