print preview xref

I have an AutoCAD~2002 question that I can't solve, maybe you can help. . . .
I have a base plan in model space and 5 sheets in paper space that have the baseplan xrefed into them along with a title page.
Two of the sheets are okay.
All the sheets appear okay when viewing them in paper space and all view ports are operating correctly. The problem is in the print preview.
Three of the sheets only show the defpoint outline of the viewports and the title block when I go to print preview. There is no xref to the baseplan in the print preview.

Are the layers set to Do Not Plot under the layers dialog box?
