    Default how to create and enter data field

    How do i create and enter data field ,Where I can insert text in different location of my choosing. I have autocad 2002 I'm use to working with microstation but know I'm working in autocad 2002 and I having problem setting data fileds I thank you for any help you can provide

    They are called "attributes" in AutoCAD. To define one you simply type attdef. Look it up in the help file and you should do well with it.

    Note: If you are creating several attributes within a block (called a cell in Microstation) you will be prompted in reverse order of their creation when you insert the block. Something to keep in mind if you want to be prompted in a particular order.
