    Default HOW DO I DESIGN 3-D SCENERY??

    i design add-on planes for the Microsoft Flight Simulator, i sed FSDS or Flight Design Studio for this purpose but last september my computer died and i havent design a thing since.....i was wondering if i could design my stuff on Cad and later convert them to the plataform suported in order to animate for the sim.......

    how can i design 3-D objects?????

    can i use backdrops or blueprints on CAD???

    Well, I suppose you could use AutoCAD at a pinch using Land Development Desktop or similar to create the terrain but this is really designed for technical use, cut/fill calculations etc.

    You could use 3DS VIZ with the terrain object and an environment map or using one of the many landscape plug-ins.

    But the best option is to use a specific application. There are a number to choose from. I use Bryce but you should also look at Vue d'Esprit, World Construction Set and World Builder. Also, check out Terragen, it's free!
