Kind of Error

Guys I have this kind of error:
Document "F:/autocadfiles/staircase.dwg" has a command in progress


When I attempt to save or print a drawing, the error comes out shown above and I can't continue the operation.

I'm trying to look what command is in progress but I can't find. I think all my work is ok... I don't know what is wrong and I have done so many edits on the drawing without saving it. Now I am pissed if I will cancel the current drawing I am working here bec. I have to start all over again.

Please help me guys. I gave up on searching...

This happens sometimes to me, I have yet to find a suitable reason for it.

My solution has been to copy everything to another drawing file and save that and throw the offending drawing file in the bin.

This can be caused by the autosave feature.

Check back through your command history and see if an autosave occurred recently?
If so, then check that the autosave directory is not set to read-only.

Could be that this isn't it though as there seems to be 101 things that will trigger this.

Dunno if this will work or not, But just hit ^C or ESC a few times. Then try.

Try "save as".
if it does not work try waht tiger is suggesting.

"save as" wont work but copying all the objects to another drawing file works fine. Lol I never thought this kind of solution that is so easy even children can think of this. Shame on me .

for command histroy, press F2
For autosave options, Go to Tools>options>open & save

Tools > Options > Automatic Save File Location > Pick a folder location.
