    Default Extremely slow Hatch

    Hi,

Has anyone had a problem with Hatch being very slow when it is analysing the area needed, if so, how do you stop it??

I have tried various ways of eradicating this problem, for example drawing with polyline/ using the select objects option etc etc, is it an AutoCAD problem or is it something to do with my settings??

any help will be greatly appreciated

If there r lots of objects in the drawing, this happens. In that case to quicken the process you can isolate the layer/layers which requires to define hatch boundry. so that unnecessory layers & hence object out of the way, it will annalyse faster.

I think it may depend on the scale of the hatch pattern you want. If it is correct, it will be there immediately. if it is too dense, then you sit there waiting, and it has already finished, and says....too dense. Sorry, my best explanation.
