Drawing a vector / arrowhead

hello,

I'm a student and trying to do some illustrations for physics.
I need vectors for this, but I haven't managed yet to draw arrowheads!

Could anyone help me?

I'm using the 2005 version of AutoCAD.

The best way to do this is with a polyline using the "Width" option.

Start the polyline command, pick a point for the base of the arrow line, pick a second point for the base of the arrow head, enter "W" for width, enter the width of the arrow head at the base as the starting width and enter 0 as the end width, pick the tip of the arrow head.

You should now have what you want.

Actually, I think the best way to draw vectors would be with a leader...check out the Help files for dimensions & leaders.

Good point Kate, a leader will do just fine and may be simpler. The polyline option gives greater flexibility - you have a choice

the usage of the leader is pretty simple - I like it :-)
