    Default converting dwg to dxf increased the size of the file extremely

    Registered forum members do not see this ad.

    hey,

    i am trying to convert a dwg file to dxf. Problem - dwg file is just 459 kb. the converted dxf even after purging has the enourmos size of 2.56 mg.
    i m working with 2007 Auto CAd, but want to save the dxf in 2004.

    any ideas

    DXF is just a text file. To read it you could open the file using a text editor or even MS Word. Try zipping the file before sending it off to someone in an email.
