    Default Quick Select/Quick Filter

So its the first time since using '08 that I have needed to use the quick select tool in the properties box. It doesn't seem to work?
Is this just me of does everybody's cad08 do this? I try to select, say just the points as I did in '06, but it doesnt do anything. It just keeps all objects selected. Is anyone else getting this or know how to fix?
    Cheers!

So far all I can figure out thats different with '08 is the icons have changed and theres alot more broken things.

I use Quick Select all the time on LT 2008, and it works well.

What is in your drop-down menu "Apply To:" ?

And the menu "Object Type:" ?

    And "Properties:" ?

The 2 that upset things the most, but are very subtle are at the bottom:

    "Operator:"

And the bullet selected in the option, "How to Apply:" (it sounds like this could be the issue if it is set to "Exclude" - this setting gets remembered from previous uses.)

i cant remember what the titles for the pull downs used to be i just used to do it. i select a heap of stuff, pull down the object type menu and select say 'points' then in operator choose 'select all' then hit ok and it used to just pick out the points for me. seems the setting in how to apply are set on 'include in new selection set' and append to current selection set is ticked whatever that means.

also another problem which is driving me batty, when i used to publish a heap of drawings into pdf's, it would all print seperately, now they all go into one big pdf file. i cant find a setting that is making it do it.

any help would be great, these 2 things are driving me nuts.

If you have already selected everything in the drawing, you need to untick "Exclude from new selection set" and "Append to current selection set" and make sure "Include in new selection set" is ticked.
