    Default grey dots printing lines

Registered forum members do not see this ad.

I am trying to print my drawing, but the green and cyan colours will not print in black lines. They print in grey dots. The other colours are fine.
I have turned off dithering and tried all kinds of stuff, to no avail.
    Anybody can help me?

Did you take a look in Layer Manager to check the linetype?

Does you printer/plotter support linetype overrides? Some printer programs let the user ignore settings in AutoCAD.

    What printer/plotter are you using?

When did the problem first occur?

Does it happen with similar type drawings?

    Hi Remark,
    Appreciate your quick reply.
My layer manager seems ok. Linetype is fine. I have tried it in other drawings and it does the same.
    I am using a Sharp laser printer 11 x 17
It works fine with my old AutoCad Lt.
The problem occurred immediately when I bought the program.

Have you tried printing using a monochrome.ctb?

When you say "dithering" are you referring to the "screening" option under Properties (Plot style table editor).

Is this an 3DS Max question or an Autocad question?

    Mr. Remark,
Thank you so much. Something so simple, and to know that i spend hours and reams of paper trying to figure it out.
    It works like a charm.
    Thanks again, you'r a lifesaver.

Apparently an Autocad question. I'm moving this to the Autocad section.

    Your welcome pieter.

I stumbled across the answer only because, as my wife says, I'm a dithering idiot.
