grey fuzzy print lines

Hello again,
These are repeat questions.
I have upgraded to AutoCad Lt 2008 and have a few problems.
1. When printing, the green and cyan colours print in a fuzzy, grey like line. The others are nice and black and sharp. I have printed to three different printers and they all do the same. If however I print thru my old AutoCad LT 98, it prints fine.
If I change the lineweights, the lines get indeed bigger, but are still grey and fuzzy
Somebody suggested to try in monochrome and solved indeed the problem. Nice clear lines. However in monochrome all lines are the same weight. that is no good either. Anybody have any suggestions. I have tried everything under the sun.

2. I am using dashboard for my icons. Works great but is to slow retreating back to the hide position. Any suggestions how to speed it up?

Regarding the "grey, fuzzy" lines: I believe you have those lines set to be dithered in the CTB file you're using.

When you're in the PLOT dialog window, click the small pen icon under PLOT STYLE TABLES (top, right of the window) -- see image (below, LEFT). (NOTE: Be sure the CTB file that you have been using is showing to the left of the icon. That's the file you'll be editing. In my example, monochrome.ctb will be modified.)

Then, along the right-hand side of the Plot Style Table Editor (Pen Settings) window that pops up, adjust the "Screening" value to 100 -- see image (also below, RIGHT).

Now, at the bottom, click SAVE & CLOSE.

That should fix your problem!

With regard to your other issue: I don't use the dashboard.... so I can't help you out there.

I tried that. All my colours are set to 100 screening. It does not make a difference.
I seem to have a lot of people stumped.

Pieter, could you post a screen shot of your plot style table editor..
(like julie's post) just so we can see what is going on..

Maybe you could expand on your printing setup/process...

e.g. sounds like you have object/layer lineweights set..(layer manager)
and not setting them up in the .ctb

Dear PS Port,
I am sorry, but i am not very computer literate. I know how to make a screenshot and then save it in Word. But how do i get it on the Forum?
By the way, my Plot style table editor looks the same as Julie, except under "Lineweight", instead of having there; "Use Object Lineweight" I have the actual line weight in numbers. But I have tried that and it does not make a difference. I can increase the thickness of the fuzzy lines as well as my other colours, I just can't get away from the fuzzy lines in green and cyan. It kind of looks to me, that the program is printing the wrong type of lines for these two colours. I think I saw somewhere, that there are different types of lines you can choose. Like with rounded ends, or made up of dots, or something like that. I don't really know. I am grasping at straws.
All you guys efforts are really appreciated.

In the plot style editor in the properties part try setting the `color' to 'black' when green & cyan is selected.
