    Default Plot/Print Driver location question

I have a question regarding the location of plot/print drivers. Currently, in our office we run a network version of AutoCAD 2008 with four licenses (we have about 10 potential users).

Assuming that we all have the same hardware/OS set-up I am wondering if I can locate all plot/print drivers in one accessible network location and set everyone's "Device Driver Search Path" to point to that location.

Whereas currently the search path for each user is set to "C:\Program Files\AutoCAD 2008\drv"... I want to point everyone to one network directory location. Something like: "J:\AutoCAD\Approved Standards\drv"

The objective would be to ensure everyone is accessing the same plot/print drivers so that our standard layout(s) plot/print the same.

Is there any reason this is not possible?

    Thanks! JayT

    Default

That's the way we do it, plus the plot style tables.

    Default follow-up question?

The directory "C:\Program Files\AutoCAD 2008\drv" contains a lot of files.

Does anyone know if this directory typically contains drivers for various operating systems like XP and MS2000?

Is it a one-stop shopping location for all ACAD driver needs?

    Thanks - JT
