Default Drawing any shapes gives straight line only

Registered forum members do not see this ad.

I am using AutoCAD 2005. It was working quite well and in the middle of drawing a square I must have hit the wrong key and now what ever shape I want to draw end up been a straight line. Even if I copy a shape from a different file and pasted to either drawing it ends up been a straight line.

    Can anybody help?

    Regards

    Ed.

Try setting your view to top or world. View>3D Views>Plan Views>World UCS

quote: The "broken pencil" UCS icon (shown right) appears if your view direction is edge-on to the current UCS (or within one degree of edge-on). The icon indicates that you cannot draw in the current view.

have a look here for ther rest : http://www.cadtutor.net/tutorials/autocad/ucs.php
