Have you tried purging the drawing first, or is it not letting you get into the dwg because "Drawing needs recovery?"

I have tried that from just opening and then save it then close it then tried to recover it and I still get it only when I run recover.
then it ask for are you sure y or n.
If you type y it locks it up.
if you type n it still keeps coming up.

i would try a repair install. By selecting uninstall (through add/remove programs assuming you're using Windows), it should give you the screen where you can either uninstall, repair, or install.

Try the repair option. If that doesn't work, you may have to completely uninstall, then reinstall.

yeah...with it happening with more than one drawing...That would be my guess, unless of course your machine is riddled with viruses or something like that.
