Question Xref Attach file not displaying when added

    2 Questions:

    1. I have Xref-ed several survey point files in AutoCad 2000. But my last one will not display. Is this a layer problem. The correct path is chosen each time , but never attaches..
    2. Is there a command to go straight to a coordinate point to view it to see if it was Xref-ed properly? Thanks ALL

In a nutshell, I create 3D models from the client's CAD files or design sketches, which I then use to produce high quality rendered images. Click on the link in my signature to view my portfolio. I'm always looking for work, so let me know if you need any renders. :)

When you try to attach it, what does it say at the command line? It could be that there is a possible circular reference happening which Autocad won't allow. The command line should tell you what the problem is.

Or, if the xref loads but you just can't see it on screen, then maybe it is off in space somewhere. Try doing a Zoom Extents and then hit Ctrl+A to select all. Then look for the blue grips.

Thanks for you response. I checked what you said and this appears on the staus/command line. What does "Using existing definition/" mean?
Perhaps it is a layer issue?:

    "Command: _xattach
Xref "038_15-PCL" has already been defined.
    Using existing definition."
However, I am not inserting it nor specifying an insertion point. Does this happen automatically if the checkboxes are all checked?
