I need to learn autocad in order to be able to operate a CNC Router for wood works. Where do I start? as I have no idea whatsoever about autocad. Please advise.

    - Find a course at your local college/school.

    - If you have version of AutoCAD, get yourself a good book on it (there are several recommended on this site, Search for it) and go through tutorials.

    - Find tutorials online and work through them

    Good luck

In addtion to Tiger's suggestions, the manufacturer of the CNC Router and/or the software supplier of the nesting software for the CNC whether they are the same company or different, should be able to provide some basic training if necessary. Since typically you will be exporting your "parts" out of Autocad into a 3rd party software that will generate the machine code for you.

Some of it depends on the complexity of what are you doing with the router as well. If it's just simple sheet goods/panel cutting or if you're using a 5 axis router for more 3d profile work.

If you've got some more specific questions once you get into it, I'd be happy to help if it's similar to any software/equipment I've worked with before.
